We love the Dovercourt Art Clubs exhibitions! This year you can see a new fantastic collection of works at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th June. Free Entry.
Welcome to Dovercourt Art Club’s 55th Annual Exhibition.
With all of the hard work and artistic talent that we have within our club, I feel confident that you will be able to see that we have produced an exhibition to our usual high standard and in a variety of styles and mediums, something our members, old and new, can be very proud of.
Over the past year, the committee has endeavoured to provide the membership with a varied programme of events including: regular Demonstrations and Workshops by our very own professional artists, Life Models, Still Life, four competitions, many Painting/Sketching Evenings at The Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre and Painting Days at Wix Village Hall.
This gives all of our members the opportunity to explore new styles, techniques and mediums; so that we can all expand our knowledge and interest in art in general.
We are not a ‘teaching club’, but our members are always willing to give advice and help on anything art related – checkout our so called ‘Golden Oldies’ evenings, where more experienced members pass on the skills and knowledge they have had passed onto them!
Our club is a friendly club, with new members always welcome. If you wish to, speak to our Membership Secretary or any of our committee members for more information on joining the club. You can also check our website: www.dovercourtartclub.co.uk for more information on our club and its activities and don’t forget our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/dovercourtartclub
Staging an Exhibition entails lots of hard work, therefore I wish to convey my thanks to the Screen Team, the Hanging Team, to all of the additional helpers and to the club membership for their support, but most importantly, to you, for giving your time in support and appreciation of Dovercourt Art Club.
Rodney Byrd, Chairman of Dovercourt Art Club
