The Harwich Festival are pitching their exciting, new initiative: ‘The Scriptwriters’ Showcase’. Created for aspiring screenwriters and playwrights, from the Harwich and Tendring Area. The Scriptwriters’ Showcase is a programme of coursework-based workshops designed to equip and enable aspiring writers – at any stage of their writing journey – to write coherent, comprehensive and well-structured scenes.
Delivered by local screenwriter Paddy Francis and actor/director Chris Anderson, the writers’ workshops will lead onto a showcase event, including table/rehearsed readings of the scenes completed on the course, performed by a cast of actors. Guest speakers and industry practitioners are being actively invited to collaborate with us on this new initiative. And, we are extremely excited to announce that Writer, Director, Producer, Marn Davies will be our guest speaker at our Pitch Event.
