Harwich Repair & Reuse

Harwich Repair & Reuse – Electrical Fix Hub is a new community repair initiative at The Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre, helping local residents repair small household electrical items instead of throwing them away. Led by our volunteer electricians, the drop-in sessions offer basic safety checks, PAT testing, plug and fuse replacement, cable repairs and practical advice to help keep items safely in use for longer.

Sessions take place Tuesdays 10am–1pm and Thursdays 11am–2pm at The Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre. The project aims to reduce waste, support residents during the cost-of-living crisis and encourage a stronger repair-and-reuse culture within the community.
