From the artist:
During my school years, I always enjoyed drawing and painting, but I didn’t take it any further than that.
After my school days, I didn’t do very much painting at all. It was only when I had a young family that I started to do more drawing while trying to encourage my sons to do the same
It wasn’t until they had grown up and left home, that I decided to join Dovercourt Art Club, in 2004.
I have learnt all such skills that I have now, with the help of the many professional artists that have been and some that still are, members of the club and I have been a member now for 20 years.
I don’t have a particular style, apart from wanting to paint exactly what I see – Realism I suppose you could call it. I have dabbled a little with Abstract painting, one of which can be seen in this Exhibition, but I still prefer to paint in a realistic style.
I hope that you enjoy what you see.
